Which Reader Species Are You?

I stumbled upon this highly detailed infographic by Laura Kelly and thought of sharing it.

Going through the whole list, I listed down which ones applied to me… And wow, am I a cross-bred of many different species.

I am under the class of Book Lovers (and proud of it), and I’m a combination of Compulsive, Situational, and Free Range. I’m more of a Book Cherisher rather than an Abuser. A little bit of a Worshipper (It’s so freaking nice to see books on display) and a Hoarder. Although with the onset of e-books, I hoard less real physical books and fill my mobile device with PDFs and ePubs instead. I try to be a Chronological Reader most of the time, unless the book is so slow and I couldn’t help but skip to the end. And of course, I’m a Library Lover (one of the best spaces on earth). Again, because I am a true blue e-book fan, I consider my apps and Goodreads as libraries, too.

I’m a little bit of a Re-reader, too, but I don’t buy multiple copies. I used to be a Book Rescuer because I tend to be sad when I see a book lying around, unnoticed and uncared for. (excuses. Hahaha)

On the Situational side, I’m an Omnireader – I always have this need to read. I’m super App Happy (I use 10000+ Free eBooks) and a Kindle Convert. The last time I bought a phone, my main consideration was the display size so I can read easier.

I’m not much of a Social reader, but I tend to be a bit of an Evangelist to a few chosen friends who I know are book lovers, too.

Lastly, I think I also belong to the Cross-Under type. I like reading YA books and children’s books but I also read a lot of adult books. Guess you can’t be just one type, eh?

How about you? Which reader species are you? Tell me in the Comments section!
