This Week on the Bookshelf Intruder rounds up everything that happened on the blog, share-worthy links from around the web, my current reading list, and some offline happenings.
Another busy week has gone by and wow, we're halfway through November!
Although this time of the year is definitely more exhausting for me, I also love Christmas a lot so mostly, I just feel excited and very hopeful. :)
Anyway, these happened on the blog this week:
- I reviewed Reader (Daughter of Time #1) by Erec Stebbins.
- Also reviewed This is What Happy Looks Like by Jennifer E. Smith
- And shared my love for Jennifer E. Smith.
I also finished reading A Thousand Pieces of You by Claudia Gray. It was good!

And last Sunday, I snagged a SIGNED COPY of my favorite book of 2014. I cannot believe my luck. There I was, looking for a paperback of Isla and the Happily Ever After (to match my paperback Anna and Lola) and then I saw this. Not paperback but SIGNED!!! And the odd thing is, it's cheaper than the unsigned ones.
Also, I finished my Goodreads Reading Challenge last week and it was awesome! I did put a low number but what the heck, this is an accomplishment!
Due to my crazy work week, I wasn't able to visit a lot of blogs this week. But I did read some great posts:
- Buona's review of Isla and the Happily Ever After made me remember all the FEELS I had for this beautiful book.
- Faye talks about taking love slow in books
- Shannelle ends up wanting to quit blogging a lot.
- Jules turned 17! Did you greet her yet?
So that was my week. How was yours? :)
Love signed books! I do a happy dance whenever I find a copy in my bookstore. :)
ReplyDeleteAnd yay for completing your reading goal! Anyway, looking forward to reading your posts this week.
MUCH LOVE FOR THE SIGNED ISLA HB ;) yay!!!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for this, Jules! :D
ReplyDeleteHahahaha! ;)
ReplyDeleteI still want the paperback though. I hope someone gives it to me for Christmas. Hahahaha!
ReplyDeleteThis is actually the first time I saw a signed copy of any book ever. I know, that's insane.
ReplyDeleteAlways happy to read your comments, Joy. Thanks for dropping by. :)
congrats!
ReplyDeleteOooh, lucky you that you managed to snag a signed Isla! I still have yet to read Isla because I'm worried about it being disappointing. :(
ReplyDeleteAnd congratulations on finishing your GR challenge! I managed to finish mine recently and it was so satisfying because I've never finished it this early before. Granted it is mid-November (what, where did the year go?!), but still, pretty exciting! Hope this week treats you well :)
A SIGNED ISLA?! How exciting, you lucky duck! I unfortunately have STILL not read Isla even though I pre-ordered it. :( I hope to by the end of the year, though.
ReplyDeleteAlso, congratulations on finishing your Goodreads goal!
Thanks! :)
ReplyDeleteThanks, Ebony! I hope you'll be able to read Isla before the year ends because it's really awesome. :)
ReplyDeleteI seriously think it won't be disappointing. I loved it!
ReplyDeleteI've never finished my previous challenges -- this is the first time so it really feels awesome. Thanks for dropping by, Joy! :)
