TAGGED: The Sisterhood of the World Bloggers Award

Hello, hello, awesome people! So... it's been a while since I last did a tag. You've probably seen this tag before because it's everywhere.

First off, some rules:

  • Thank the blogger that nominated you, and link back to their site.

  • Post the award’s logo onto your blog.

  • Answer the 10 questions you’ve been asked.

  • Nominate 10 other bloggers and ask them 10 questions.

I was tagged by two lovely, awesome girls. First, by Paula of Her Book Thoughts who tagged me in December (see how late this post is?) and second, by Felicia of A Silly Girl's Thoughts, who tagged me in January. If you haven't checked out their blogs yet, do it after reading this post. Seriously, they are both amazing and super nice. Paula writes honest, sassy reviews while Felicia writes her life (at least parts of it) story chapter by chapter and reviews books on the side.

Sisterhood of the World Bloggers Award
Here are Paula's questions:
1. Do you spend more time reading on the screen or on paper?
On screen, although I'm trying to change that now. For the last 2, 3 years, I've been devouring ebooks like a mad man. I have lots of unread print books which I plan to get to this year. :)
2. When you are not reading, what do you do?
LOTS. I work. I write on my journal. I sometimes cook/bake. I watch movies at least once a week -- usually marathons. I also binge-watch US TV series and Koreanovelas, which is my latest addiction. :)

[caption id="" align="aligncenter" width="558"]It's Okay That's Love "It's Okay, That's Love" was the second Koreanovela I watched this year and it is AMAZEBALLS! It made me want to watch more Koreanovelas :))[/caption]

3. How’s your romantic life? HAHAHAHAHA okay *clears throat* Who is your CURRENT book boyfriend?
Oh. The last book I read with romance in it was Dash and Lily's Book of Dares and I did love Dash, but I'm kind of over him now. I'd have to say that my ultimate book boyfriend is still Etienne from Anna and the French Kiss. <3
4. Author you’ve read the most books from?
Probably Rick Riordan *cough* because he's written series after series after series and I've read 'em all.

[caption id="" align="aligncenter" width="408"]Rick Riordan Source[/caption]

5. WHAT IS THE BEST SERIES EVER? for you
Hands down, Harry Potter. I love Percy Jackson books but I don't think there's any series that can top Harry Potter.

[caption id="" align="aligncenter" width="442"]Harry Potter 15th anniversary edition That special edition I've been lusting over... now I can't find it in bookstores. Le sigh...[/caption]

6. What is your drink of choice while reading?
Water? I dunno, I'd love to say coffee or tea (that'll definitely make me seem sophisticated) but I usually read in bed or in transit so I don't drink while reading.
7. Fictional character you probably would have actually dated in High School
HA! This one's a great question, Paula. :D I'm just gonna throw it out there... Percy Jackson! Although I'm not 100% convinced that there are demigods, I do know that there are funny, quick-witted, sassy guys out there and I've had guy friends like that. Like this one guy who also happens to be cute and... okay, I got a little bit carried away.

Percy Jackson Logan Lerman

8. Give me a HIDDEN GEM BOOK! …aaaand GO!
Miss Fortune Cookie by Lauren Bjorkman. It's, in a way, hidden because I bet you don't even know this one. I didn't, not until I receive it as a Christmas present. But boy, is it a gem! It's so beautiful inside and out and you should definitely check it out.
9. What are the kind of books you don’t read?
Poem books. There's no explanation, I just don't pick them up when I see them on bookstores.
10. Am I awesome? HAHAHAHA, okay okay serious time now. Name that Classic book that you think EVERYBODY should read.
Oh geez. It's been a long time since I read a classic. When I was in grade school and high school though, I really loved Mark Twain. I had this copy of The Adventures of Tom Sawyer which I read gazillion times. I think that's awesome and you should read it, regardless of your age.

And here are Felicia's questions:
1. If you had to pick max three favorite books, what would it be?
Anna and The French Kiss by Stephanie Perkins, The Trolls by Polly Horvath, and Have A Little Faith by Mitch Albom
2. If you had to pick max three of your least favorite books, what would it be?
Tough. Probably Allegiant by Veronica Roth, Up in The Air by Walter Kirn, and The Summer Trilogy by Jenny Han.
3. Do you ever read a book, not so much because you think you will like it, but because it's one of those books you feel like you have to read?
I have. Just a few weeks ago, I was looking for certain books that I thought will help me with what I've been going through. I wasn't sure if I will like it (turns out I don't) but I felt like I had to read it.
4. Do you re-read books?
YES! When a book's really really awesome (like the first 2 books I answered on question #1), I re-read it without shame. I'm a fangirl like that. :)
5. What's the best school-assigned book you've read?
I can't remember the title. It was in high school, for my English class. I remember that it was about a caterpillar who becomes a butterfly and it was all about her journey. It sounds really lame and simple now but when I was reading it, I thought it was profound and meaningful and all that
6. Are you the type to usually root for the hero or the villain?
Hero, of course. Unless the hero's an idiot and I just root for the villain just so I can also get rid of the idiot hero.
7. What's the one thing you wish everyone knew?
That I'm awesome and people who think otherwise should die
8. If you had the power to fix one thing you think is wrong with the world, what would it be? (And if you can, what would you do?)
Oh man. There are so many things that are wrong in this world but things happen for a reason, right? I think it's definitely wrong that people choose to watch crappy, advertisement-infused movies instead of mind-blowing ones like Whiplash and Wild and The Imitation Game... but who am I to judge? So no, I don't want anything to do with that power. (And Felicia, YOU know what I'd fix, right?*wink wink*)
9. If you could meet anyone, dead or alive, fiction or real, who would it be?
Voldemort (or Ralph Fiennes). I really wish to know how he was able to breathe through those tiny slits he called nostrils.

Voldemort dancing10. What got you into blogging?
I couldn't help it. It was bound to happen one way or the other. I've loved writing my whole life, usually on diaries or on letters sent to friends. I also love reading, so last year I thought, why not combine the two. So here I am.

Now, here are my questions:
1. What's your favorite book from your favorite author?
2. How do you arrange your books in your shelves? Alphabetically? By size? By color?
3. How do you decide which book to read next?
4. Favorite activity besides reading?
5. Dream destination - fictional or real
6. If you could live inside your favorite book and be one of the characters, which book would you be in and which character would you be?
7. Describe your ideal book in 3 words.
8. When do you usually read other book blogs?
9. Favorite book-to-movie adaptation and why?
10. What's your favorite song at the moment?

And I tag (I hope you haven't done this yet):

  13. I need to catch up with my book blogging. I will post mine soon!

I used to read on my phone and Kindle too but a year ago, I decided to go back to paper reading and it's the best thing ever. I love seeing my bookshelf piled up with books (especially hardbounds). The only thing I miss about my Kindle is that it's much easier to bring anywhere and the availability. I have to wait for the books to be available here in the Philippines or I will just order them online which takes 2-3 weeks too.

Jo In Sung is so gwapo talaga no? Look like he never aged at all. I first saw his series 12 years ago. Doon pa lang, hottie na talaga sya.

Harry Potter will always, always be my favorite!

  14. Besides being able to carry it anywhere, the thing I like most about Kindle is the capability to highlight words/phrases and annotate. Very handy when you need to blog about it. I don't like writing on my print books.

Jo In Sung's face is currently my laptop and phone wallpaper. That's how crazy I am about him. Hahahaha!

And yes, Harry Potter forever! <3

  15. OMG!!! Voldemort, I'm dying! Your crush on Percy is cute but if he looked anything like Logan Lerman, than wow, he had me at hello!!! Like you I was also let down by Allegiant. It's so sad when good books go bad :(. Lovely post, I'm really starting to like tags.
