Rising from the dead (figuratively)

Some part of me died over the holidays. That is my only explanation for going MIA for three weeks. I've tried reading a lot of books but never finished one. I had no enthusiasm for blog rounds (I miss all of you, blogging peeps), and I didn't know if I even wanted to continue blogging. Yes, the past few weeks have been so tough and nothing made sense.

But I will spare you the details because despite the nature of my situation, I know that other people have it so much worse. As Mr. Robinson would say (from Meet The Robinsons), keep moving forward. And that's what I'm doing now. Moving forward with life. I am proud to say that I've got back on my feet and doing okay. I'll just start where I left off, I guess. 2015 is gonna be so much better than 2014, I swear.

I just finished reading Have a Little Faith by Mitch Albom for a book club I joined. This is my first offline book club so I'm excited. This book finally ended my book slump. It was an easy read despite its underlying themes and it was simply beautiful. Will post a review soon. :)

Have A Little Faith by Mitch Albom

I am also back to doing blog rounds and I know I have a lot to catch up on. You can help me, you know. Tell me how you've been, what the highlight of your past month is, just how much I missed. Looking forward to reading your comments, guys! :)

  1. YAY! you are back...Joy things will get better if you look at the bright side :) I have been quite busy for about a week due to the Sinulog festival here in my place and truthfully i am feeling the aftermath of the activities...i developed a cold and my body is aching lol! i wish i am young again so i can keep up with the energy of the young people who were partying the night away on the street till dawn! meanwhile, haven't read anything by Mitch Albom but i have seen him in person na last year and he is such a charismatic speaker and down to earth.

  2. Good to be back, right? hehe.. Don't worry Joy, I totally feel you. I can go wild posting anything on my blog and suddenly go MIA after. Anyways, I'm actually called sick at the office today and reading Laila's comment made me laugh. I guess I'm not the only one who got sick after Sinulog Festival last weekend. It was raining the whole saturday. I've read Mitch Albom's First Phone Call from heaven and For One More DAy. They were all inspirational books. I went to his booksigning last year and I totally like that his humble and a man of faith.

  4. You should read his books, he's really good! :)

I have a friend who came from Sinulog and he said he had the best time ever. I was so jealous! But I know that if I wanna come to join Sinulog, I should book flights and a room at least 6 months before the event... Maybe I'll go next year. :) And oh, get well soon, okay?
